Prof Jun Adachi

Jun Adachi is a Project Leader in the Laboratory of Proteomics for Drug Discovery at the National Institutes of Biomedical Innovation, Health and Nutrition (NIBIOHN), Osaka, Japan. After receiving his Ph.D. from Kyoto University in 2004 and completing a post-doc at the University of Southern Denmark and Max-planck institute for biochemistry (Matthias Mann Lab) from 2004-2006. He returned to Kyoto University and joined National Institutes of Biomedical Innovation, Health and Nutrition in 2010 as a senior researcher. He started his lab at NIBIOHN in 2018. Research in the Adachi lab is focused on the development of clinical proteomics/phosphoproteomics approach using endoscopic biopsy specimens for precision cancer medicine as well as the analysis of liquid biopsy especially for extracellular vesicles.
