Prof. Dr Stefan Tenzer
German Cancer Research Centre
Prof. Dr. Stefan Tenzer teaches as a Professor for Immunoproteomics at the Institute for Immunology of the University Medical Center of the JGU Mainz and the Helmholtz-Institute for Translational Oncology (HI-TRON), a Helmholtz Institute by the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ). Moreover, he coordinates DIASyM, one of the four research cores for mass spectrometry in systems medicine funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).Research in the Tenzer Lab (#TenzerLab) is focused on the development, optimization and application of data-independent acquisition mass spectrometry (MS)-based workflows for quantitative proteomics and immunopeptidomics to facilitate a detailed understanding of the interplay between tumor antigenicity, tumor microenvironment and the anti-tumor immune response. In addition, the Tenzer Lab develops high sensitivity methods and workflows for the in-depth characterization of the immunopeptidome, which enables the high-throughput immuno-phenotyping of quantity-limited clinical samples to define biomarkers and neoantigen targets for individualized immunotherapies.
