Getting to Lorne
Bus Transfer
For 2024 we will once again be offering bus transfers to and from Lorne.
At the time of your registration, you can select to add bus transfers as your registration add-ons. In the registration portal, there is a ‘Bus Transfer’ section. Please select the 'check box' to reserve the bus transfer. Tickets are AUD$60.00 each way and seats must be reserved in advance.

Wednesday 31 January (Melbourne to Lorne)
Tullamarine Melbourne Airport @ 12:30PM
Passengers should meet in the blue Groups and Charters Bus (the L) zone opposite International Terminal (T2), ensuring they have boarded the bus no later than 12:30pm. The bus will have a conference signage "LORNE PROTEOMICS 2024" on the front window.
Royal Parade (WEHI) @ 12PM
The bus will be located outside or as close to The Walter+Eliza Hall Institute for Medical Research (1G Royal Parade Parkville VIC). This location is right next to Royal Melbourne Hospital. The bus will arrive approximately 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time and will depart at 12:00pm sharp for Lorne via Tullamarine (Melbourne) Airport.
Saturday 3 February (Lorne to Melbourne)
Bus departing TO Melbourne on Saturday 3 February @ 2:45PM
The bus will travel first to Melbourne Tullamarine Airport (arrival time approximately 5:15pm), then into Melbourne city, dropping passengers at the WEHI/University of Melbourne, Royal Parade (arrival time approx. 5:45pm).
IMPORTANT:
- Please ensure you have checked out of your hotel and wait within the Mantra Lorne Foyer at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.
- Please allow for 2.5 hours to travel from Lorne for flight bookings.
